Let’s get started!

- water - long-grain white rice - sliced almonds - cinnamon stick - milk - granulated sugar - vanilla extract

Ingredients Needed

To make it dairy free, use almond, soy, coconut, oat, or cashew milk.

*Quick Tip!*

Blend the rice, cinnamon stick, almonds, and water until they’re finely pulverized.

01

Transfer the mixture to a large pitcher, add the remaining water, cover, and let the mixture soak in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours or overnight.

02

Pour the soaked mixture through a fine mesh strainer until the mixture is as smooth as you can get it. Add milk, sugar, and vanilla extract and stir until combined.

03

Serve the horchata over ice with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon and enjoy on a hot day!
