Tacos dorados feature crispy, golden tortillas filled with a classic ground beef and potato mixture. Topped with shredded lettuce, Mexican crema, and spicy salsa.

Ingredients Needed

Make sure the oil is properly heated to around 350°F (175°C).

- tortillas - ground beef - oil - garlic - onions - potatoes - seasonings

Cook the onions, garlic, and meat in a skillet for 10 minutes. In a small pot cook potatoes until fork tender.


Drain, place back in pot, mash them, and mix in meat. Warm the corn tortillas in the microwave. Fill each tortilla with 2 tablespoons of the meat and potato mixture, and fold.


Heat the frying oil in a medium saute pan, then fry the tacos in batches for 60 seconds per side until golden and crispy.


Place tacos on a plate then top with Mexican crema, lettuce, salsa, cilantro, and more of your favorite toppings!
