These crunchy Beef Taquitos are filled with seasoned ground beef and shredded cheese, then baked or fried for a crispy crunchy exterior.
Let’s get started!
- seasoned ground beef - tomato paste - corn tortillas - onion - garlic - oil - shredded cheese - sour cream - shredded lettuce
If you’re craving these crunchy beef taquitos, but want to avoid frying them, try baking them instead!
Sauté onion and garlic for 3 minutes. Add ground beef and cook for 8 minutes, until browned. Add tomato paste, chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, spices, and water. Stir to combine and cook for 3 more minutes.
Warm your tortillas in the microwave before stuffing each one with a heaping spoonful of the ground beef mixture and a pinch of shredded cheese.
Tightly roll up each tortilla and secure it closed by threading a toothpick along the seam to keep them closed. At this point you can choose to bake or fry them.
Bake in the oven for 4-6 minutes, until the cheese has just melted. Top with desired toppings and enjoy!
