Mexican wedding cookies

his traditional Mexican recipe makes for an easy dessert perfect for weddings, Christmas, New Year’s, or any day of the year!

- all-purpose flour - pecan halves - powder sugar - vanilla extract - fine salt - butter

Ingredients Needed

All out of pecans? Try using different nuts like walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, or pistachios!

*Quick Tip!*

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with pecans and bake for 6-8 minutes. Then blend till smooth in a food processor.


Make the cookie dough by beating together all other ingredients and ground nut mixture. Then form dough into a flattened disc and chill for 1 hour. 


Form the chilled dough into 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes at 350°F.


Once cooled, roll each cookie in remaining powdered sugar to coat all sides. Serve and enjoy!
