pambazos

Pambazos are Mexican sandwiches famous for their signature red-colored bread, made by dipping the bread in a flavorful red chile sauce.

Let’s get started!

- bread - potatoes - chorizo - chiles - tomato - onion

Ingredients Needed

I recommend only brushing the top and bottom crust of the telera bread with the sauce, not the inside. Otherwise, it may get too soggy.

*Quick Tip!*

Make the guajillo chile sauce by soaking all the chiles until softened. Then blend chiles, onion, tomato, garlic, salt, and water until smooth.

01

Make the filling by boiling diced potatoes and then cooking them with the chorizo.

02

Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the bread on both sides flipping after 1 minute.

03

Fill the bread with the filling, drizzle of salsa, lettuce, cheese, crema, and enjoy!
